Learning about Language Expression

in Romance Writing

I’m a jack of all trades - though I think they’re all aspects of the same trade, just expressed in different ways. One of my ‘trades’ is teaching. I have a profile on skillshare where I’m in the process of imparting all the knowledge I have on writing, writing romances, ghostwriting etc.

The purpose of my teaching is to

  1. Impart what knowledge I have to others as they keep asking me questions and

  2. To establish myself as an expert in the field.

When it comes to my work, I am both a complete believer in my abilities when it comes to storytelling while also being very reticient about tooting my own horn. I think its the whole British colonial mentality that I was brought up in. Modesty, not putting yourself forward, all that jazz.

It took watching my son break through all those mental barriers to tell me I could do the same. I could say, unapologetically, “Hey, I am really good at this and not only should you know it, you should compensate me accordingly.”

It’s crazy to just be coming to this realization at fifty plus but as I was telling a good friend yesterday - just because you’re an adult doesn’t mean you truly adult. Sometimes you just go through the motions, go with the flow until somet

hing makes you stop and go, “Wait a minute! Do I really want to go this direction?”

I don’t know if this is even coherent but the point is, I can teach you how to write. I’ve done it for like the last forty years. So click on my skillshare where you can not only access the lesson but also the project and we can be in conversation about what you need, or how I can help.
